Valenti Alumnae Dominique Sachse is the evening news anchor at at KPRC Local 2. Just look at the great people with whom she gets to communicate Houston’s stories.   And she recently celebrated a milestone. Dominique has been a broadcast journalist, since 1993. Dominique’s work over the years has blessed her with 2 Emmy awards and several AWRT awards for on-air personality,  as well as accolades from the Houston Press club and the Texas Associated Press.  The University of Houston, her Alma Mater, named her an “Outstanding Young Communications Alumna” and “Distinguished Alumni.”  But, she feels the best award is when a viewer says, “I’ve been watching you since your traffic days.”  It’s that history and sense of connection that resonates.

Karen was also the producer of Academy & Annie Award-winning short films For the Birds and Geri’s Game for Pixar, where she helmed the Shorts Division overseeing its original shorts slate as well as A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc. franchise production efforts.
