Rahma Adesina, Broadcast Journalism

Rahma Adesina is a broadcast journalism student with a minor in marketing who aspires to inspire before she expires. She hopes to fulfil her dream of becoming the first veiled Muslim woman to be a news anchor for CNN. She has already had the opportunity to assist with the pre-production of CNN’s Town Hall with Howard Schultz and plans to continue from there. Rahma is a spoken word artist, who finds performing original poetry in front of large crowds therapeutic. She has also been on the Dean’s list for every semester she has spent at the University of Houston. She is also one of four UH students chosen to intern with Newsy this summer.
