This scholarship was given by Tom Caltagirone and family in honor of Lorraine and Ted Dinerstein. The Valenti School was named in memory of Lorraine's brother, Jack, in 2008.

Lorraine has devoted her life to charity work in prominent organizations city-wide, bettering the lives of many people. A few of her many prestigious honors and awards include: YMCA Outstanding Woman Award, named Great Texas Woman of the Year by the National Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis, and the Humanitarian Award from the National Jewish Medical and Research Center. Lorraine chaired St. Joseph Hospital Foundation's Holiday Fantasy Ball wither her brother Jack Valenti.

Ted is partner and cofounder of the Dinerstein Companies. His passion for giving back to the community is evident through his work with religious, civic, public, and private organizations.
