To impact is to have a strong effect on someone or something. The annual Valenti Impact Awards is a celebration of our students and the individuals who impact them the most. We highlight the impact of scholarships, recognize the impact of our community partners on the Valenti School of Communication's success, and we honor an individual whose work has made a tremendous impact on the world.
Scholarships help students afford their education without getting saddled with a financial burden. The Valenti School of Communication is proud to be awarding nearly $100K in scholarships to our students at this year's ceremony. Learn more about some of the scholarships we give out and how the legacy of those gifts is carried forward in the lives of our students today.
The Valenti School of Communication trains the next generation of innovative storytellers to be leaders in their fields. We invite global and local professionals to engage with our students and show them what successful careers in communication look like. From guest speakers to donors to companies that provide internships, the success of our school is intricately linked to the time and resources of those in our greater community.
Celina Schocken is this year's Valenti Impact Award recipient. Throughout her career, Celina has provided access to health care to individuals around the world. The impact of her work is incalculable and it is a tremendous honor to recognize her at the 2017 Impact Awards.
